•	Apple's new second-in-command is Jeff Williams, a key executive who has overseen key recent projects, like the Apple Watch. Williams is well-liked by Wall Street and Apple insiders, who say his experience managing the company's sprawling supply chain is likely his biggest asset. •	Dell is planning to take its SecureWorks unit public early next year, according to SEC filings. Post-EMC merger Dell is beginning to sound like EMC, which is composed of a bunch of different divisions, some of which it has spun out as public companies (like VMWare), or currently plans to (Pivotal). •	Lots of startup workers forgo making a bigger salary in order to work at promising startups, where they can receive equity that can become valuable after an IPO. But the protections often demanded by later investors can make those post-IPO payouts for workers significantly less lucrative, or perhaps worthless in some cases. •	Samsung's smartphone business hasn't been doing too well lately, as more competitors enter the fray and Apple continues to run away with the high-end market. •	A study says that accident rates are twice as high as for self-driving cars as they are for regular cars. This is because self-driving cars are drive really, really well and they always obey the law. The problem?
