Netflix beat Wall Street expectations for Q4 2015 and sent its share price up nearly seven percent, topping 75 million subscribers by adding more customers abroad and bolstering its original content offerings. Its American business is slowing, however, and there's a price hike coming this spring for some subscribers.

Last year, the French music streaming service Deezer put its $330 million IPO on hold because of "tough market conditions." Instead, Deezer is now raising a $110 million funding round led by billionaire and Warner Music owner Len Blavatnik's Access Industries. Meanwhile rival Spotify has purchased two small startups.
