Yesterday's earnings report for Yahoo didn't really matter, because the company
finally announced that it's for sale
. Though Mayer and the Yahoo board say that "strategic alternatives" could mean something other than a sale, it's pretty clear that a buyout from Verizon, AT&T or a private equity player is on the horizon. The latest sign of the company strange corporate culture? Marissa Mayer's $1 million rah-rah red book that was distributed to employees.
