If you've been to a Code Media event, you know what to expect: Fascinating conversations with the people at the intersection of media and technology. And if you haven't joined us before, now is a great time to see for yourself.
At Recode events, Kara and I bring some of the most interesting and influential people in media and tech onstage for candid, unscripted. This time around, you'll hear from:
- John Martin, CEO, Turner. He's in line to run Time Warner one day, and currently runs some of the biggest properties in pay TV. Planning for a future when pay TV looks smaller, Martin is trying to figure out how to future-proof networks like CNN, TNT and Adult Swim — which may involve selling them directly to consumers over the internet.
- Janine Gibson, editor in chief, BuzzFeed UK. She ran the Guardian in the US, and was a contender to run the New York Times. Now Gibson is bringing BuzzFeed's blend of click-friendly content and hard-hitting reporting across the Atlantic.
This evening event will also include plenty of time for you to connect with leaders in media and tech over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
