We're thrilled to announce that Hudson's Bay Company CEO Helena Foulkes will be joining us at An Evening With Code Commerce at Shoptalk.
It's been one year since Foulkes was appointed CEO of HBC, the iconic department store brand and parent company of Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor. To say she's been busy is an understatement.
In her first three months in the top spot, HBC announced it would be selling online retailer Gilt. Foulkes is also overseeing a $250 million remodel of Saks's flagship Fifth Avenue store — which just debuted a new ground floor with an expansive luxury handbag display. She has appointed a new president to oversee Lord & Taylor, and shuttered 10 stores — including the company's flagship.
In short, Foulkes is tasked with the incredible challenge of pivoting these iconic, century-old department store brands to a new era of shopping.
