Oracle has been in a long-running legal battle with Google over whether Oracle is entitled to a chunk of the money that Google has made from Android. Two big revelations emerged from this battle yesterday: First,
Google paid Apple $1 billion in 2014
to keep its search engine on iOS, plus a cut of the revenue generated. Second, Oracle says that Google has made $22 billon in (
probably gross
) profit from Android. Bear in mind that both of these numbers come from Oracle, not Google, so feel free to add a question mark to them.

Last year, regulators
killed No. 1 Comcast's proposed $45 billion merger

The History of the New York Times on the Internet
The New York Times is not only the paper of record, but it's a paper that has been trying to figure out the Internet for a long time. Twenty years, to be precise: The Times has a new, nifty interactive site that you can use to look at how the paper's digital operations have changed over the last two decades. It's also a useful reminder of just how much the Internet itself has changed. Well worth your click.
